could you load the music on a splash screen before? e.g. cache the music on the first screen, then tell the user to click to advance to the next page once the music starts? Just linking to the music on the page before should be enough to cache it.

the easycleaner link on step 3 is broken. I guess this is the program it's referring to: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download414.html I would suggest that you don't use the 'find duplicate files' option in this program as it has been known to remove essential system files.

well really speaking you need a server side language such as php, which naturally GoDaddy probably don't offer you. So you can either go the less reliable way of <form action="mailto:[email protected]" enctype="text/plain"> Your form in here </form> Or if you visit http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39991 then a friend of mine is for some …

Clearly you have a design problem. If you're working in tables, try setting your width to 100%. You can also do the same to your height. It depends on your design as to whether or not it works. What you're really looking for is a fluid css layout (try googling …

I don't really know what category this fits into, since I don't know where the problem lies yet, but hopefully someone can help me. This is a 6 month old acer laptop, so it'll go back under warranty if it's hardware. There have been no hardware changes, and as far …

As a general rule the aim is to get your information displayed in version 4 browsers, rather than actually rendered as it would be to a modern browser. With that aim in mind the @import hack is extremely useful: http://w3development.de/css/hide_css_from_browsers/import/

Does your form mailer tell you to use <input type="hidden" name="GOTOURL" value="http://www.heybyrne.co.uk/contact_confirm.htm"> ? Or did the instructions come from another mailer?

I have an Geforce 4 Ti4200 128mb card. I recently decided to disconnect my extra case fan at the back. It has worked normally for a few weeks. Yesterday when I turned it on, it got some way towards loading windows (I saw it at the grub bootloader stage) and …

If you're looking at less developed countries, you'll need to ensure fast download times. Also look at cross-browser compatibility - some people may use macs etc. You need a standard layout so that people know where to find things, and you need to make your navigation system clear so people …

A friend of mine has a VA3000SNA case, where the two fans are rated at 21dB. However they make a noise like a hurricane, which is amplified by the honeycomb grille of the case. The grilles will be replaced, but I'd like a fan controller to lower the speeds slightly …

It appears to be related to your adsl modem. http://startup.iamnotageek.com/srch-rundll32%20amecsa.cpl,%20RUN_DLL.html Do you have one? lol You can either try reinstalling the modem software, or if you're happy your pc is working fine you could use hijackthis or msconfig to stop it attempting to load.

Is the system set to autodetect hard drives on boot, or do you have to enter the bios to tell it to autodetect? Usually if you only have one drive you can't go too far wrong with the jumpers.

style and script tags should be in the head section of your document. Clear up your validation errors and it should start working in more browsers. If you post a link to a page with the template applied, or a zip of the template applied, maybe one of us can suggest something - the ability to expand and fill the screen depends on the design itself.

You can set widths using ems, but what exactly is your problem? If you set font sizes for particularly problematic areas in px then they don't change size in IE6.
