There is no upgrade path from 32bit windows vista to 64bit windows 7. The only way is to do a clean install of the 64bit by booting from the win7 install dvd and selecting a custom install. This method will require you to backup all your data and re-install your …

I'm running FF 3.6 beta on my win7 64bit(stable so far), but 3.5.7 is running well on my Win7 32bit. Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing ? I've had some 'updates' go wrong in the past, and this has fixed me up without trashing any profiles or anything.

Did you make any changes to the network settings before this happened? On the 32bit computer go to Control Panel>Homegroup>Change advanced sharing settings: under Home or Work, make sure that password protected sharing is OFF. I have also experienced that disabling IPv6 can cause connection issues. (no idea why this …

I would just reload from the backup disks. This time create your account first and once you've logged on you can create your daughter's account as a standard user without affecting your account.

Simply redo what you did to make it go away. Click Tools> Toolbars > Favorites Bar; this will put a check beside it and the toolbar will display again. Right click on the individual items to get a menu which will let you delete them.

The most likely cause would be that you have the incorrect driver loaded. It may also be that the driver requires a service pack to be previously installed. If memory serves SP 6 was the final released. Perhaps you'll find a better driver or some help at Intel's web site.

Maybe try backing it up (browse to C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\ on Windows XP/2000 or C:\users\\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\ on Windows Vista) ; you …

Are you manually adding the printer or does the driver software automatically do the printer installation? If it's the latter, be sure to run the setup as administrator and you may also want to disable windows' firewall(at least for the install)

Just double click on the top border of the task manager window. You're in 'tiny footprint mode'; you got there by double clicking in the space above the tabs.
