How are you connecting the drive? if its on 1 cable (for both drives) make sure the jumper settings on the drives are set to master and slave Check your BIOS settings too.
I would fdisk it and build a new partition, go to Microsofts site for details
this happened to me, it was the PC overheating and shutting itself off to prevent damage. Make sure the vents / fans are dust free and well ventilated. Get it up off the carpet or it will just suck in all the dust from there.
My hosting company gives me this in my cpanel. Or use your webstats to get the info, unless you mean real time?
