The inf file type was associated with notepad so I deleted it and when I edit the file type and click OK and try to edit it again it comes up blank. When I close folder options and reopen it INF is gone. Ideas?
I have window xp pro can boot normally but can't boot in safe mode or recovery console the system just restarts. Tried replacing config files default, system, software, security etc with older files usinglinux still have the problem. My restore files only go back to March.
