Thanks, DaveB, I went to a command prompt under safe mode and I was still rejected with the message: "System Restore turned off by Group policy." [B]And if you get gpedit working....[/B] I tried Gpedit but there was no System Restore under System. Would you have any other suggestions? Thanks.

I used the Windows support setup wizard. It finished installing the support tools. I can't find where it was installed to. I typed in the Run dialog box: Dupfinder. I received an error... not found Has anyone tried to download the XP Service Pack 2 support tools? Thanks, John
