I too am having n joy in getting PHPUnit to install. I followed the guide at [URL="http://www.phpunit.de/pocket_guide/3.1/en/installation.html"]phpunit.de[/URL] but I just end up with a default text dump whenever I try and run any tests (in this case HTML_BBCodeParser).
