I recently installed sp2 on 30 computers on our network...in general it slowed the performance down quite a bit on nearly all the cpus unless they were very beefy systems up front...I was very disappointed in sp2! Just my 2cents worth!
Let them autograph the inside of the cases...the Apple Engineers used to make a practice of this...then someday when they go inside they will see all the names of the sweet kids that did this for them....just an idea! they could customized a slideshow screensaver with their pictures on there …

If your cpu fan fails your computer should shut off immediately...you might try changing out the fan as suggested before to make sure you have a good one..this would be an inexpensive fix and a good preventative measure if you have a failing fan...a blown processor is gonna cost you …
