Many ways to get traffic. Pay per click, free ad sites, social bookmarking, article marketing, blogging, etc. Good luck!

I would be weary of make money online offers. The keyword "make money online" itself is very widely used. Should be a flag right there.

Inbound links will help you. Aim for several thousand-ten thousand if you wish to generate massive amounts of traffic.

I wouldn't worry so much about that, many sites have been found to rig their alexa ratings. Focus on inbound links, I mean a lot of them.

I do a bit better with Yahoo than Google for the same price per click. They are both good and utilizing PPC is still important in addition to free slots. But, monitor your bids very carefully, there are a lot of click bangers out there.

Direcotry submissions are iffy. Best to do some more research before making an important purchase. Good luck!

Yes, do a search on the niche market you are looking for. Google AdSense seems to help a lot of people with extra income, in addition.

Nostradamus is notorious for making these kind of predictions. He predicted an end of world scenario but was wrong. He'll probably be wrong once again. Only his followers can bring about minor things, not a world ending one.

Spreading the word is the best way to go. Advertise anywhere and everywhere in order to draw traffic. Eventually, it will pick up with time.

I would focus most of your links towards the page you want people to visit (i.e. homepage). Then do the rest on your inner pages, just to make it look natural.

Since they change their algorithms constantly, sometimes links won't show or count, I assume. For instance, I read they like links from PR4 or higher. Also, if you posted on forums, blog comments, etc. Those pages might have been archived or taken off by the owners, thus reducing your linkage. …

Onpage has to do with internal link structure, keyword placement, keyword diversity, latent semantic indexing, etc. etc.

Hello all. I read on the web that this forum website was a follow site (towards links) back in 2004. Then I read it is nofollow in 2006. So I am confused. Which one would it be? Thanks for the input.

Online degrees are as popular and as well noted as in-person degrees. Just make sure the school you choose is accredited, and if they are, check the accreditation.

Sometimes it takes time for the BBB to showcase companies on their site. Of course, becoming a member would expedite that quicker.

If you are looking to promote, definitely use both sites and other social networking ones. Aggressive marketing is the key.

It's good to learn basic cooking, at least. For instance, cooking pasta (just boiling water), cooking chicken in the oven with seasoning, and rice too. Then you are all set.

Thanks for the detailed post. It is probably easier to obtain quantity links as opposed to quality. Even though the former requires a lot more work, the latter isn't exactly easy to achieve.

Craigslist does allow url's as well as anchored text links. I noticed that many times it won't allow my post, so it is hit or miss. Many try to figure out how to do multiple postings, but with this new phone verification they have, it will be tougher.

For the majority of cases, yes. I mean, you can get lucky and have people naturally link to you via good content. But, who's that lucky and how will they even be seen so fast? So SEO is it :P.

Sign up for a Google account, and click under Webmaster Tools. Verify your site, and check the Overview section. Google will notify you if your site is indexed. For the other search engines, using the site: command is fine. Same for Google as well.
