if your laptop is windows: ipconfig /all if your laptop is *nix: ifconfig -a this would tell you what your ip is. vark

Hi Yuki, one of my favorite php books is "Beginning PHP4" by wrox. I'm not sure if theres an updated one for PHP5. But it was a very good book, at least for me. HTH, vark

apache htaccess might help you with general auth to your folders. Another option might be to store the files in a database and display them via database user permissions. HTH, vark
