Since you've had so many errors with current Windows, I strongly suggest a full-format of your c:\ drive for a clean install of Windows system.
So your monitor is fine. Your format / reinstall process is fine. Does your PC work when you turn it on? Does it give some beeps if it fails to boot up?

What error message do you get when putting more than 200 songs?
After a quick scan of your code, I suspect you are mixed up with two variables $newname and $image_name . Forgive me if I'm wrong.
Power failure does no hurt to other hardware parts but hard drive. That's all. So you have to make sure the hard drive is in good status and still readable.
I prefer to create a pdf version instead of word since pdf format works the same.
