If the online scan didn't work, then you can download other antivirus softwares such as AlYac (it's South Korean, but I find it extremely useful). Also, does the advertisement affect your Internet and desktop (weird shortcuts, new homepage, slower connection)? The antivirus99 problem is probably a Rogue adware...

did this happen as soon as you got the pc or after using it for some time? does the loading bar come up (i believe the main menu is the desktop)?
Is Firefox the only web browser you use? Also, are there any other symptoms, such as a slower Internet connection? It might be easier to figure out the problem if more problems with you Internet/computer was reported.
