Boot the dell into safemode with networking and see if it is able to connect. If you don't know how to boot to safemode then ask google and you will find plenty of instructions.

Boot into safe mode and use hdtune to test the condition of your hard drive. If hdtune finds any bad sectors then you will need to replace your hard drive. Google will easily find hdtune.

You have most likely overheated it and damaged the graphics chip. You will need a professional to repair it for you.

Where about on the laptop is the power button located? The reason I ask this is because some sony's have the button located on the end of the right hand hinge. If this is the case then it could well be the button itself as they are prone to failure. …

No such thing. All the boosters available don't actually do much if anything at all to improve wifi speed. Keeping your computer in tip top condition is the best way to maintain speed.

Open up a dos box by typing **cmd** in your start menu search box and press enter. In the dos box, type **ping www.**(the site you cannot access) and press enter. Let me know the result. As an example, **ping www.google.com**, the space between ping and www must be there.

Can't be done. Microsoft removed aeroglass (the transparrency feature) from windows 8 to try to make 8 "look" faster than 7. Someone may come up with a fix for this at some point but so far I haven't seen anything that will do the job.

It's not the buttons, it will be a fault on the digital control board within the monitor. Unless you are an electronics expert you will have to get it professionally repaired.

A liquid cooling system should have distilled or purified water in it or algae and lime scale can build up in it and cause blockages in it so using your aquarium would be a very bad idea indeed. As for overclocking, my advice is "if you can't afford to replace …

HP's suffer from GPU failure more than any other make. This means that the graphics chip on the motherboard has a problem. A vast majority of the time it is caused by a broken solder joint under the GPU itself. Most HP's will work again after being reflowed. This kind …

You need to open it up again and make sure the ribbon connector to the back of the screen is in correctly. A white screen is caused by a bad connection, not by ram or bios!

Your computer is undoubtedly infected. Run a full Mbam scan on it and post it's resulting log in this thread as there may be leftover nasties that require other fixes. Mbam can very easily be found with google.

If it was an overheat there would be no cursor visible. It looks more like an OS or hard drive failure. You need to remove the hard drive and test it with another computer using a usb adapter and hdtune.

Does disk management show the 360 gig as unused? If so this is normal behaviour when you shrink a partition. You need to format the newly created space if it is shown.
