To fix the CSS issue in IE8, all the width and height need to be mentioned with proper value. That i ll fix all the main issues in IE8

It may helpful for you, if my understanding is correct. #back{ background:url(../images/logo.jpg) #EFDDF; } This will apply the backgroud image and remaining space will be filled with the color.

You can also use inline CSS where you created the table, like below <table style="width:20%"> - - -</table> <table style="width:50%"> - - - </table>
