Does your computer function correctly in safe mode with networking. I.e. can you surf the net, write, save and print a file etc.. does your computer freeze etc.. In other words, does your problem go away in safe mode?

Are you working on a Laptop? If so go to the laptop mfg and download the driver for that model of computer i.e. dell presario etc..
Have you taken the UPS out of consideration and is this a laptop or a tower?
