Been listening to some Garfunkel and Oates lately. They're pretty adorable. http://www.garfunkelandoates.com/music/ Start out with "only you" or "worst song medley." They're the world's best kept secret - until *you* repost the link on Reddit!
There's a pretty good book/easy read called "The Beak of the Finch" - part of it is about observed & recorded accounts of evolution in living populations over a few decades. (As opposed to evidence from the fossil record) It won a Pulitzer, so...not too shabby.
