On the back of the router there is something that looks like a pin hole, you can use that to reset your router, also there is always uninstall/reinstall.

ATI's x1950 xtx is the fastest single 9x gpu out now, or for future proofing you could get the Nvidia geforce 8800 GTX 10x card.

I would check out the Dell Insprion e1705 is relativly cheap and can be configured with a ATI x1400($900 to $1200) or Nvidia 7900GS(around $1400). If portability is important look at the 1500 line all can be seen at the dell website. Oh yeah dell gives out some awesome rebate …

Setup a folder to share or just share that folder/files over the network by right clicking the folder going to properties and clicking share this folder on a network and setup from there . I agree with everyone here though it is slow.

Did you try putting in the 1GB of RAM and the 256MB, and was the 1GB installed into the first slot on the MOBO, some older MOBO's require you to put the highest module in first so make sure that it is installed this way.

Run Norton Antivirus and see if the program or app pops up on the list. It should have an ignore list where you could put the program.

You should be fine, but increase alittle at a time to make sure that your(value RAM) can handle it. Invest in some quality thermal compound also, it will help keep the CPU cooler with the stock fan.
