Have you gone through the security settings on the win 7 machine. allow file sharing ect. Go here on your computer running win 7:Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings. Try changing the settings to what you want to happen, usually a good idea to reboot after.
If you are a home user, then MS Security Essentials is usually sufficient. Norton is rubbish, slows your computer down to much, uses loads of resources. Avira is good so is Avast ... All free.
it is almost certain that you need a new hard drive.
Even better run this :Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.6 This will remove all sorts of nasties. Do a google search for it
Go to internet options .... Advanced and try reseting the browser and disable addins, there is every chance that it will be cured.
