I don't understand why you put your machine's life at stake with the free ones. The free ones are really of little help. But if you succeed to find out the virus name, then you may find an online scanner to help you, or some patches developed by many people …

In case of laptops you yourself cannot do this. If you go to the customer service dpt, then thy may do this operation for you if only the laptop is designed that way. otherwise you will need an external HDD.
