I had a hard time reading that, but i think i understand. Try changing your normal viewer to lets say WORD or EXCEL then change it back to the picture viewer. Do you have admin rights? Also, did you do any microsoft updates recently?

Have you tried running ad-aware / spybot? Have you tried getting updates for your machines via windows updates? Winamp version 5.35 is out.

Yeah, this could be tons of things. try getting ad-aware ([URL="http://www.lavasoftusa.com"]www.lavasoftusa.com[/URL]) or spybot search and destroy (google it). You can try those and if that doesn't work there are more programs to try out.

You are using roaming/mandatory profiles. could be the Scheduled task service is getting turned off. Look in your services and make sure its on. If it is off, turn it on, and if it gets turned off again you have a new place to look.

To remove the password for your bios, you would then reset the bios usually with a jumper. Secondly they make bootable Linux cd's that have password removers. As stated, there are ways around everything. Passwords just keep honest people honest.
