You might but Paypal has the tap on the market right now. I am not sure if paypal does this or not but they should do a graded commission rather than just a flat one.

Weekends aren't so good, I usually send mine out on Tuesday or Wednesday b/c Monday people are usually busy and nobody is every working on Friday.. hehe

3.5 is just an upgrade from 3.0 and might I say a very nice one. It's faster and a lot easier to add modifications to it. Not to mention the MOD/Admin features are killer.
I started religiousforums.com long time ago, which I don't own anymore, but dealing with these topics are easy if you have the members that all have a common goal of "discussing" the topic rather than argueing about it. Which is a very hard to get.. :)
I think it really depends on the niche. I know my site has well over 150+ forums but only because of the topic. Otherwise if it's a new site try to keep under 10 I would think.

Dani I think I have mastered the tactic of blended user friendly with moving ad placement around on different templates. You just have to make it flow into the forum.

I would also suggest close-knit. People can get information everywhere but they would rather stay where they are known.
Basic SEO to phpbb forums includes getting rid of the SID numbers in the links. For one google doesn't like them very much and they are just ugly!

I think just the main page. And get an automated link generation script so linking becomes automatic. :)
