is there any point on the screen where u get the things right then the prob is with the position of mouse which is wrongly interpret by system. thus making it a hardware prob.
when u reinstalled the os did u had the 2 hd's attached to the same system having os on each. if that was the case then u need to keep both the hd's for the system to run normally. also check for master and slave setting on hd. even try …
try to use kaspersky internet security (kis). but i warn u that if the virus is attached with system files then there is a possibility of crashing the os. else u can format ur system and use kis for scanning. make sure kis is up to date
try to reassemble ur hardware parts. mainly adjust ur ram. i guess its a temporary solution but surely will give u some relief
